Surprised - Me too

Wow. Since when Waugh has become the uncrowned Authority on all that happens on Cricket? He is in India on some Sponsorship Tour. Is it not enough if he did what heis paid for? Thanks to out TV Channels running around these so called "Think Tanks" asking them stupid Questions and getting stupid Answers we get to read too much of 'opinions' on the Net and Papers. If he things there is no prejudice in the game then he should offer to face a debate when ever some one can show him glaring caseso Prejudice. How does he propose to explain the reasons for Clive Lloyd's failure to take note of the reasons for the stoppage? May be he can find another word - a synonym and think he has done a great job!

His Prime Minister also has this habit of offering 'comments' on subjects outside of his domain.

what a load of crap! waugh speaking about fariplay
by rayker on Nov 26, 2004 11:11 PM

he's always playing mindgames isnt he. here again. well, there IS some *co-incidence* going on - as far as punishing sub-continent players is concerned. Ganguly is fully justified in protecting himself. the slow over-rate was due to frequent changing of the ball, and alos due to the injuries to the players. waugh spoke ambigously, yet again. not elaborating where he ought to. he is best ignored.

Shameless Waugh!

Steve Waugh may be a hero in Australia. Steve Waugh may also be a philanthrophist. But he has always spoken negatively regarding Saurav Ganguly as well as the Indian team including players like Dravid and some other senior players. But when it comes to Australian players he has defended them even when they have demonstrated themselves as shameless shenanigans (Michael Slater).I wonder how Indians if they have any self respect could even think or suggest Steve Waugh as India's coach. Even if Waugh became India's coach how can he coach the Indian team objectively without any conflict of interest? India would be better off with Sandeep Patil or some other coach like Buchanan with proper coaching credentials. It is time India stopped relying on former cricket greats who may not be great coaches (John Wright).

Don't think Waugh is a great Philanthropist. He may be a decent person with a bent of mind to 'Help' others if he can help himself in the Process. He has never paid for any one of his 'trips' to India after his Retirement. It is always his sponsor's Money. MRF and Sanmar Group were the two who picked up his Tabs, in the past. It is quite possible MRF has dropped him from the Contract since his Bat is fit only for Auctions in Australia and not any more to show its 'FACE' to the TV Camera's in close ups!
