Indian batting is still a worry

The pitch was the villain, no doubt.

Wah Sehwag & Gautam. Ganguly seems to be working himself back to some kind of form. He is mentally much stronger than the rest, anyway. Dravid, Sachin and Laxman are still scratching around. The mind set is too defensive and tentative. Its not going to help in any way. After the Mumbai 2nd innings, I thought Sachin and Laxman would have learnt their lessons, but they disappointed once again. Sachin needs to work on how he has to handle the fast in-dippers. The Aussies have found his weak point and the rest of the world has caught on. Laxman, I guess, will always be unpredictable, with his technical flaws. One can only pray that he gets his act together fast.

Hopefully the Eden Gardens pitch, with its pace, turn and bounce will provide a better chance to our batsmen and bowlers. And provide a better spectacle to the fans....The Proteas will also enjoy that track and one can anticipate a good contest, enjoyable to all. Eden track, along with Chennai, form the best two pitches in India. The rest (except possibly Mohali, which is somewhat loaded towards the fast bowlers) have a long way to go....dull draws or 3 day tests!! Wake up, BCCI.

sorry state of cricket in india

had the indians played one such innings against australia they could have drawn or won the series.
selectros need to bring in few new commers. In spite of ganguly's knock of 50 plus he needs rest. sachin needs rest. chance nas to be given to new comers keeping in mind the next world cup. the team is similar to a team when gavaskar was there. we have more captains on our side. all batsman are great, individually. as a team they do not perform. hence you can find good records being created than winning. when ever three batsmen have played well the % of vectory has been high. thus is the australian team. we need to learn. we are run by sponsors not selectors. when a player is not fit to play how can he be selected in to the team. surprising???? I do not feel any other country would have done this? players should fight for a place. we have 8 players permanant and other 3 semi permanant. we have already booked them for 15 to 50 lakhs.the same old faces keep comming. surprising in ranji trophy too. where can you get good players comming. if we keep performing or doing like this the there will be a time people will shift their interest to hockey & other games and cricket may be hit badly
