Junk effort

Instead of spending effort on such useless things, ICC can rather concentrate on things like allowing any number of bouncers in Test Cricket, disallowing negative bowling (as seen extensively by South Africa and England; pity India) etc.

Rule change will be fairer: Mani

Looks like Mr. Mani has gone mad.

Now they say a flex of 15 degrees will be allowed!!! How in the hell will the umpire be able to tell whether the flex of arm that took place while bowling is more than 15 degrees? Will he have a Supercomputer on his glasses that will calculate the degree of flex within 2 seconds so that he can shout "No"?

Imagine this, a bowler takes a wicket on a No ball and umpire does not call it right there. After the match, which that batsman's team looses, video footage is reviewed and that particular delivery is found illegal.

Because of a flawed rule, that was delibrately made more flawed, a team looses a match that it might have won. Remember, this was not an umpire fault, but a situation created by a rule which was created by insane people.

The ramifications of this change in throwing rule will be so many that instead of making life easier for bowlers and umpires, it will make it more difficult to first spot a rule break and then even more difficult to process it and rectify the action.

How the hell can you tell a bowler that it is okay to flex your arm by 15% but not 16% ?? Does a bowler has a compass on his arm or his brain to stop himself??
