Dear Rediff, If You Carefully analyse Mr. Clive Lloyds attitude towards the India Cricket, after the 1983 CricketWorld Cup in which India Defeated the West Indian cricket Team lead by (then) Clive Lloyd, a clear Picutre will emerge. He is Very Very harsh towards Us Indians. e.g.,: During a World Cup match held in Culcutta(Kolkutta) bet. India and Srilanka, there was some trouble brewing among the Public and the match was briefly heldup. Mr.C'Lloyd did not loose any moment in taking the decision to award the match in Srilanka's favour. In future Mr.C'Lloyd shall be kept away from Indian Matches. Thanks for the Oppurtunity Given to express my Viewpoint.
Everytime there is a fine imposed on a team or a player is suspended for slow over-rate, there is disagreement from the team in question. A possible solution to this can be maintaining a clock like other games like soccer. Each time there is an interruption, like ball change, sight screen movement, injuries etc. the clock should be stopped. This would make the system free of accusations and doubts.
As the match in which there was slower over rate, was a one dayer, hence Clive Loyyd's decision to impose ban on Ganguly in playing Test Matches is not justified. I welcome ICC's decision to review the matter. If at all Ganguly is fond guilty, he may be suspended from playing one or two one dayer.
icc body has no guts. first it finds a captain guilty and then after his country's board appeals, it relents. that means punishment is not meted out.what is the use? it is all show business. it is because of these flimsy decisions that public at large is prompted to say that everything is a publicity stunt.such mature persons should not take decisions in haste.ganguly should be banned for life; he is a useless captain and player.
