Tendulkar, Sehwag to open

Sachin Tendulkar is over the hill and injury-prone and it is high time that he retires. This would allow a youngster to take his place for being groomed to represent India.

Our Batsmen after PLAYING "One day matches" continued to play in a hurry like one day match, during 5day test matches against Australia and failed miserably. It takes time for them to come out of ONE DAY mould, by which time it is too late and the Test series is over. Now with the ONE day (one) match agaist Pakistan,on 13th November soon after the concluded Test match, there is every possibility that our Batsmen play the match like a test match! Do the Coach or the Captain drive home the point to the players that the two versions of the game or played differently? It is time we too adopt Austalian stategy like selecting the team purely on suitability to Test or Oneday game, as the case may be, instead of basing on their performance in one version of the game. Example Batsmen like VVSLaxman, Dravid, Akash Chopra, should not be considered for ONE DAY MATCHES and players like Shewag, Yuvaraj Singh should not be considered (atleast for opening slot) for Test matches (not with standing his triple century in a test match, a flash in a pan ). Batsmen like Tendulkar, Md.Khaif, can ne considred for both versions of the game. Selectors should give more thought in selecting separate teams
