We are pleased to learn that skipper Saurav Ganguly will be playing in the Platinum Jubilee ODI at the historic Eden Gardens. As the most successful Indian cricket captain, Ganguly's presence in the Team will lend a greater completion to the Jubilee celebrations. Ganguly, Rahul, Sachin, Anil and Laxman have been pillars of our team in recent years. Youngsters like Sehwag, Bhajji, Irfan, Zaheer, Murali Parthiv, Ajit, Ashish, Balaji, Kaif, Yuvi and a whole lot have been making fine contributions. On this glorious occasion we salute all our former and present cricketers, coaches, keepers of scores and statistics, administrators, umpires, scribes, groundsmen and commentators who have been privileged to serve the game over the years. We also salute all the players of the visiting teams who were privileged to play their cricket at various venues in our vast country infront of our ever passionate cricket lovers ! We wish the upcoming cricketers at our various nurseries and academies all the very best as they prepare themselves to follow in the footsteps of the great masters who through their contributions have brought us to our Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
