Ganguli fit or notphysically,he is currently out of form.He didnt show his form even in ranjitrophy matches where the bowlers are supposed to be lacking the calibre of international bowlers.From the best domestic performance only,international players are selected and they prove their worth.In india ,i dont know when that is going to happen.In india no procedure followed,the selection depends upon the whims and fancies of the selectors and thinking about the past performance only.Ganguli will not include Dinesh karthik and sriram now,at least they should have been included in the boardXI to face against the SA team,so that they will have exposure.What is the use of playing Bahutle,agarkarDhoni and all against SA.in a 3 or 4 days match.We must try venugopalrao,jhadav,sriram,dinesh karthik.S,s.Paul etc against SA in a 3 or 4 days match before the test match,so we can select new promising players.Omit ganguli from the team. His utility to the team is over.
Initially I used to think that Ganguly was only hated by the South Indian community. But now I am positive that he is hated by the entire nation. He is useless and his average in the past 10 test matches are not so great. I think he can be shown the door and we can accommodate Yuvraj and Kaif both in the team with Dravid of Lakshman as our new captain.
Dada has declared himself fit, but he isn't and has never been fit. Infact, he is the weakest fielder in the team. He should instead declare himself injury free. That would be a more accurate description of his physical state. To say that he is fit would be to compare him to the likes of Kaif and Yuvraj who have to go through the same fitness tests to qualify for the team.
Ganguly has been a refreshing change to indian cricket captaincy. But his behaviour in the Australian tour of india has been equally suspicious. He gets injured at the 59th minute 59th second of the 11th hour, is tipped not to play the series, and what does he end up doing ??? GOES FOR A COMMERCIAL SHOOT in MUMBAI where the match (4th Test) was on. None of the officials of the BCCI know his where abouts.. Also ends up playing the ranji match.
All this at a time when team India really needed some gr8 inspiration that I thought only dada could provide. India was playing for pride, and saurav, to my mind, blew away all of what was left of it with us. A Sachin comes back and plays even though he is 90 % fit, but mr saurav here looks like didnt play because he was only 99.9999% fit.
I guess with the australian team, he'd hv been sacked and wud never hv seen the light of another day in any other international cricket match. His behaviour to me, was very similar to what Shoaib (Akhtar) did when India played Pak in Pak.
I dont know about other, but Ganguly MOST CERTAINLY LOST A LOT OF HIS CREDIBILITY in my mind.
