Indian Team proved experts wrong again.
by Vijay Narayan Joshi on Nov 06, 2004 01:58 PM

It is really fascinating how people change their minds. The so called experts, some of whom in their cricketing careers fared even worse then the people whom they criticize time and again, make themselves look funny. Till a couple of days before general public influenced by these experts were baying for the blood of these very cricketers. Take the case of VVS Laxman for example, he did not shine this time, but so did so many players. If one series proves bad, we people dump our players. How can we forget the famous series win against Steve Waugh and more recently the win against Australia in Australia. Was it done ever before ???
We should give credit for our players for other games have not brought so much glory for India as Cricket has. Take our performance in Olympics for case study. Let's not forget that the cricketers are also human and are likely to flounder sometimes.

Anyway Kudos to this Indian Team, which always looked different from their earlier version, the bonding, the youthfulness, the never say die spirit was never there in as much as it is in this Team.

Class is permanent !
by Dr. Cajetan Coelho on Nov 06, 2004 01:02 PM

Congratulations to Sachin and Laxman. Where many others struggled and continued the ongoing, non-stop procession for two days, the class of Sachin, Laxman and Dravid made the difference with those few but valuable runs where bowlers from either side were unplayable. One does feel that on home pitches three Indian spinners and two medium pacers who can bat decently for a few overs can fetch victories even when defending a smaller totals in the final innings. Irfan, Zaheer, Ajit, Balaji, Nehra, Amit and other aspirants need to pay attention to their contribution with the bat. Besides their effective bowling Anil, Bhajji and Murali Karthik made useful contributions with their bats. Hats off to the amazing Indian spin trio and hearty congratulations to Team India for their splendid victory against the world champions.

'cry'cket
by ananthanarayanan on Nov 06, 2004 12:44 PM

batsmen or badmen. in spite of them we turned victors, thanks to bowlers. these bowlers proved that they can bat better than the great 'six'. a nightmarish series. the lesson learnt is bitter and will haunt the crazy lovers of cricket. it is 'cry'cket.freedom to sponsor has changed their priorities and instead of practicing cricket, they practice acting. media report says that our non playing captain found time to sponsor at mumbai when wickets were falling to clark's magic spell. 'dedication' to note. it has become a most attractive profession with least consideration for dedication and performance. they should be contracted to either BCCI or the sponsors. we are anxious to regain the lost glory.

VVS is selfish player. Not playing for India
by Jk on Nov 06, 2004 12:36 PM

Though VVS Laxman is having enough talent.. He will play a good game only when he want to make sure about his place in the team. After 2001 kolkotta test he got a permanent place in Indian team, Nowadays he is playing good cricket on the need basis. Every one can realise this by going back recent series ...he was playing good game only in the last match of every series. This kind of people should not be in the team.

All credit to Indians
by Sanjay Dinkar on Nov 06, 2004 12:07 PM

I think it is right to give the credit to spinners trio. But it should not be forgotton that it was a bowlers pitch. 40 wickets falling in two days was an unexpected thing.

The only people who should get due cresit for their efforts are Sachin and Laxman. On such a trck picking up 120 runs with a brilliant 85 runs partnership, and with 15 Fours and a Six was outstanding.

Last but not the least all the cricket enthusiast who were cheering for India after the series loss. Who still had a faith in Indian Team.

Hats off to Indian cricket team and supporters.

Sanjay

well performance of indian bowler and sachin and laxman's batting
by ijazkhan on Nov 06, 2004 11:53 AM

hello,
i am ijaz from malad wants to tell you that our indian batsman are not performing well at present.i thought that after having the world no. 1 batting line up how the indian batsman playing.
In the second inning if sachin and laxman did the partnership of more than 200 then the chances of india to win was increase.
The target was not good for the australian team but all credit goes to our indian bowler harbhajan, karthik and kumble. They bowled brilliently and got out the australian batsman only for 93 runs
