We cont believe this kind of play from such great players. Even any young player also can do more than what they have done

Shameless Indian Cricket players
by Sunil Jaithwar on Nov 04, 2004 02:49 PM

Arabian sea is not very far from Wankhede Stadium and if any Indian top order batsmen is feeling shame he should go and commit suicide . Other alternative is people watching the match there should not allow Indian Players to leave the stadium and drown them one by one in the Arabian Sea .

Grading of Indian cricketers
by P.P.Ravi on Nov 04, 2004 02:47 PM

Apropos to the BCCI's decision to pay the Indian crickers accoridng to their seniority viz. Rs. 50 lacs to few senior and Rs.35 lacs to some others and Rs.20 lacs to the junior and less exprinced one is totally dismal, reason being the top graded ones like Sachin and VVS Laxman are totally flop during the current Series, rather they should be paid according to their performanc annualy prorata to their run rate/average during the year. accordingly differenct criteria for bowlers be adopted viz. they should be paid as per their wickets

horrible display
by venkatramana beeram on Nov 04, 2004 02:30 PM

it seems Indian cricketers are thinking that they or on save side, whether they play or not they are going to get the huge amount paid by BCCI, this notion should go otherwise the cricket will die in near future in india. our stars (so called ) can fail in one test match or at the most in two tests but they are repeating their poor performances for a long time now., some thing should be done.
first of all they need a positive attitude then they should not try to remain in the crease (as in the case of Dravid ) just for the sake of not losing the wicket. if they play their natural game then only indian team can win, otherwise the people will ban the cricket and also the products for which they are advertising and earning crores of rupees.
even selectors should not be so generous towards the non performing players.

India flop at Wankhede
by Nelson Lewis on Nov 04, 2004 01:43 PM

In spite of dismal performance, I am amazed to still see crowds thronging at the Wankhede stadium or passionately watching the proceedings on the TV. This shows the craze for the game - in spite of these cricketers, who are treated like Gods, performing or not. Their overall performance is very bad and has reached an abysmal depths. To say that they are overly paid for their efforts is not only an understatement, but an insult and adding salt to the injury. As these people are not performing, they should tossed out. As Sachin Tendulkar has been over the hill, he should gracefully retire, devote his time and energy in running his restaurants and spinning his Ferrari around the pot-hole filled roads of Bombay. Imagine a man without any academic accomplishments worth citing about having amassed wealth that could enable his progenies to lead luxurious lives for at least ten generations. That too out of a game that is not universal, watched by people who have nothing else to do, purely because of the mania. People, like me, would have had respect for these cricketers if they had led simple lives and and shown their concern for the lesser privileged people and the poor.

Indian Players can sell Motor oils, Soft Drinks, Cycles better than Cricket
by krishna Rao on Nov 04, 2004 01:33 PM

My message to all Indian Cricket players is to start, selling motor oils, bi cycles, biscuits, softdrinks rather than play cricket. I hope they will do better there than Cricket.

Also the Board should get itself off the sick politics and give chance to better players. Saurav should become the non playing captain and some good player should play in his place. Same applies to all the poor players.

I hope this message reaches some of our players and they feel ashamed of this if these mathches are not the FIXED ones.

As expected
by SAJID HUSSAIN on Nov 04, 2004 01:18 PM

Let the poorly performing South Africans come and we will be heroes again. May we can invite Bangladesh too. Ofcourse we should have dusty pitches for spinners to take wickets. The entire team will be glorified again by the press. More sposnsors, more modelling assignments until the next good team comes or until we go for an overseas tour. Lack of fitness, inability to take singles for the last 50 yrs, inability to rotate strike, poor and sloppy fielders, no stategy or planning, poor team composition and selection will remain forever. If things begin to look changed pls. check out if it is fixed match.
