This is nice and unbiased article from rediff. I do not know who the the author is - certainly it will be neither Ashish or Faisal (they are famous for cheap and biased articles). The author may be genuinly honest or he may be afraid of writing nonsense about the comments of foreigners. This shows that cricket India require foreign journalists for better and unbiased reports as they have foreigner coach and phyiotheraphist. --- Dinesh
Typo! "Personally I think John (Wright) has got a few more years as a coach and all the hard work he has done with the Indian team has paid off at last. It is always better to have a coach who can deliver the goods than a coach with a big name tag", Wright said.
Bob Simpson has made some good comments. Fielding is one aspect where we are way behind Australia and that could well make the difference!!
It is pity that everyone except the BCCI is thinking about extending John Wright's contract. Wake up BCCI!! Just have a man to man talk with Wright and make sure he gets what he needs to stay. It will be a blunder to change the coach at this juncture.
Regarding Bowlers with suspect actions, I am a trifle disappointed. When we know something is wrong, we better correct it at the earliest. Otherwise, soon we will have a whole bunch of chuckers. A person like Bob Simpson is probably the best to honestly name the current chuckers and save the game from future chuckers.
Instead of "Wright said" in below statement it should be "Simpson said"...
