Sehwag hammers pak
by Subhendra on Mar 29, 2004 05:37 PM

It is so funny as well as astonishing to see how sehwag shattered the paki's bowling attack and dashed all records for India in test matches. His amazing stroke play made the pakis forget their secret weapon, so called reverse swing, teesra & doosra etc. Their bowling attach looked medicore and their body language suggested they have really surrendered to the Indians, Even though they were bowling contstantly over 140 kms per hour, yet the intensity and venom from the bowling was totally missing and they look pretty ordinary as players.

At the same time the amazing stroke play by the Indians made the batting look so easy and comfortable that who ever joined the function started scoring at an alarming rate.
It is really a good game of cricket and two great days for Indian batting, really one has to accept this is the strongest ever batting line for the world.
It made mockery of the pakis bowling attach and they could not take any kind of advantages of the home conditions.

Check your facts Mr.Ashish Magotra(reporter)
by sourav ganguly on Mar 29, 2004 03:25 AM

Mr.Magotra wrote <<<<India missed the services of their skipper, Sourav Ganguly, but at the toss they certainly were glad he wasn't around. The left-hander did not call right even once during the one-dayers.>>>

------> If Sourav Ganguly did not win the toss at all, how can he make the right call during one day series.

Please check before you make your facts public.

TESTING OUR METTLE
by MILIND KHER on Mar 28, 2004 11:39 PM

After proving our superiority in One Day Cricket, we are now in the process of demonstrating our superiority in test cricket too.

Pakistan will need to get its act together as a team, never mind the individual brilliance of each player

Its so funny
by Major Gaurav Arya on Mar 28, 2004 11:28 PM

I just cant figure out what is wrong with the Paki cricketers. The famous pace attack etc is good only for press conferences. They call Irfan an street level cricketer and he scuttles them. Shoib says he will finish Sachin, and Sachin hits 141. Sami and Shoib say that Tests are the real test and Indians will feel the Pak pace heat and then Sehwag takes them to the cleaners.

I think they are just gas bags who cant walk the talk. What is the use of talking big when you cant do anything? When Shoib hets hammered, he says that he is a rythem bowler and his rythem is not ok or he would have finished the Indian batting line up.

The Pakistani team is full of bad history students. This story is for them. Once there was a guy called Abdul Qadir who talked too much. He threatned a 16 year old Indian boy called Sachin. When Sachin was hammering Akram and Waqar, Qadir told him that "Mujhe maar ke dikha, bachche". The rest is history because the 16 year old formally ended Qadir's career.

Moral of the story is..." Pehle kuch kar ke dikhao, phir bolna".

Whatever happened to cricket season?
by pbool on Mar 28, 2004 11:00 PM

There used to be a 'cricket season' - winter in India and summers in Australia. Now they play cricket in 35C!! This is insane!
Why cant we find to play some other sport besides cricket? Cricket is cool but too much of it is going to be spoiler -sooner than later.
