javed miandad's comment would have played on pathan's mind and made him more aggressive to dominate the pakistani's batting line up. it was a team effort that helped india win the series but there were few individual brilliances that tilted the series in india's favour.the kaif's catch at karachi.........rahul's never say die spirit that rubbed onto yuvraj and kaif in the 4th odi ,pathans lion hearted spell ,tendulkar's unbelievable catch.............and lastly but not least pathan's and balaji's daring shots that almost had shoib and sami weeping.................... it again shows that team effort still needs individuals to perform brilliantly but at the same time and when it is atmost required...... this indian team is very different from the past.........it stands tall,its never believes it could lose no matter what the situation is,it backs all the players no matter if thay are playing or not, and the captain believes in "an eye for an eye"............tese things make the ncleus for a champion side............... In one of his article to a website, Miandad has said the following on Irfan Pathan: "Irfan Pathan, for instance, did nothing extraordinary but he maintained a disciplined line in the deciding game, refused to try and bowl too fast and did just enough to claim three really crucial wickets. He is a hard-working youth who is willing to go the extra mile to compensate for what he lacks in natural talent. " Miandad has not even the grace to accept that Irfan is a talented person, an upcoming cricketer. He is not honest enough to give Pathan his due... What shall we make of Miandad? A jealous person?
I would like to say something about Imran Khan's comment, "How could we give our wickets to 20 year old rookies.." and "Everyone from the coach to the manager...are batsmen. Who will look after the bowlers?" Well Mr. Khan is contradicting himself in his 2 statements. If everyone is a batsmen in management and coaching staff, then no matter how good the Indian bowlers may have been, the Pakistani batsmen should have been on top. That obviously did not happen in the last 2 games, perhaps in the last 3 games (game 3 was also gave the Pakistani batsmen some hiccups). Having said that, why can Mr. Khan not appreciate the Indian bowlers? While I appreciate his patriotism, I would like to ask him about his sportsmanship in not praising the Indian bowlers at all. So how come a former world class bowler shows no regard for good bowlers and calls them 20-year old rookies? Any comments Mr. Khan?
irfan is too good. he is the next kapil dev.he is very promising player, he has got great prospects for future and he has that potential.wish him all the luck so that he contribute a lot for our country.

hai sriram, it was a nice comment that you've made. these pakisthanis have an extra bone. hope you remember an old comment made by akram , during a worldcup match that their match with india is just a trial game but couldn't control the shame of failure after the match.anyway that was nice of you
