Series defeat hurts
by Shivkumar Sivadas on Mar 26, 2004 07:58 PM

For a "new kid on the block" this guy definitely has the brashness of old Pakistani players like Miandad. AND the misplaced temerity to say that "Pakistan lost the series more than India won it"!
Accept the facts kid - you lost the the last match fair and square - AND you made it worse for your team and country by dropping VVS!
So, learn to accept the loss and see if you can bring some solace by doing well in the Test series!

Pakistan lost the series more than India won it'
by Dinesh on Mar 26, 2004 07:51 PM

Hi Faisal,
If you are Indian you should not bother too much
of Pakistan's defeat. You should concentrate on
the Indian achievements by defeating them in
Pakistan. You should not talk much about Pakistani
captain and try to give the due to the Indian
captain. You should have written an article with
Indian captain holding the cup. If you are Paki
supporter, ignore this comment,

excuses, excuses
by P K Rao on Mar 26, 2004 03:52 PM

India beat Pakistan comprehensively to win the series. We were better in every department. End of story. When Taufiq Umar was bowled by a scorcher of a delivery, the shock on his face told the story. He may have hit three boundaries - so what??? Even Balaji and Pathan can do that. Taufiq also dropped two vital catches. No amount of excuses (sun in the eye!) and whinging can detract from the simple fact that India are a much superior team. Today only the Aussies can take us on - the Pakis are no match.

regarding indian victory
by navpreet sidhu on Mar 26, 2004 12:25 PM

it was fabulous to watched the very tensed match.even we indians, who r currentely very far from our mother land, were forward about indian victory. and the result was same as we hoped before the starting of the match. so this victory belongs to all indians, who were attached with the match by any sense.

congraulation to indian team for their excellent performance.and hoping same for rest of series.

How's that???
by Raj on Mar 26, 2004 02:18 AM

"In Wednesday's match, Irfan Pathan bowled Umar round his legs for only 18. But had Umar stayed at the wicket for another 30-45 minutes, the game would have certainly gone Pakistan's way"

Yeah. If lakshman had stayed another 30-45 minutes, India would have reached 350 runs.

If Sachin had stayed another 30-45 minutes, India would have reached 400 runs atleast.

Am i right???

Pakistan lost the match rather then India won!!
by Vikram Shah on Mar 25, 2004 09:59 PM

I find it rather silly to say the list that a journalist like Faisal would let
a stupid comment like "If Umar had stayed at the wicket..." get by.

He did not and that is the end of it.

This entire series was fantastic because of this. If Yuvraj was not
cought when he was, India would have won the match.

If Kaif did not take that splendind catch, Pakistan would have won the
first match.

You can go on like that forever.

The fact is that Umar needs to go back to school, this time to learn
where his leg stump is.

Credit where credit is due!!
