the man (KAIF) who is pegged to be the future test captain still not in the test team ??? I think he stands a better chance in the test team than yuvi.

i dont thing it is the best team with the weakling wicket keeper parthiv included in the team he has left many stumping and catches i dont know why they dont take ajay ratra who scored a century in the west indies it is pity on him

A real pity.

Pity. Parthiv Patel who can stump only when the ball rebounds from his pads when he fails to collect a ball from a spinner (a common feature) retains his place in test XI, but Indian version of Gilchrist -yes he has the potential to be worlds 2nd best keeper batsman, only if he is given a chance -MS Dhoni of Bihar cools his heels in India because he has not been marketed like the stupid Patel who can't spell 'stumping'. Pakistan spots talent far better than India because cricket is less commercial there than India.

selection of test team
by R.Sridhar on Mar 22, 2004 04:38 PM

If I would have been in the selection committee, I would have taken sarandeep singh in place of murali
karthick and also sriram in place of zaheer kan. What
went wrong with these two. The former bowled superbly
and batted like all rounder. The later has been playing very well in the ranchy trophy as well as
he is in good form.

Why is Mohd. Kaif not being selected??
by Karthikeyan on Mar 22, 2004 04:22 PM

Kaif has proved now and again his calibre in one day internationals. Shouldn't he be given a chance in Test Cricket too??

Why not kaif ?
by Wajed on Mar 22, 2004 03:59 PM

Hi rediff,
I think for test matches batsman should be a like stable on the peach so there is some batsman are not a stable batsman they are a hitter but kaif is a stable batsman on the peach & the selector should give them a chance that he can do something for the team...he can proove that he is also a good test player.
