The correspondent is brutally ignorant of many a facts which makes it hard to believe the other facts he had stated. Firstly, this score 294/5 is NOT the highest ever total of India batting second against Pakistan and winning it. How can one forget the immortal match at Dhaka when India successfully chased 314 in just 48 overs? Also, its not the second highest successful run chase by India, as they had also chased 325 successfully in NatWest Challenge against England. Please double check before bluffing such irresponsible chugs of fancy.

The article does not show the ignorance of the correspondent, but your message does. Certainly the author would have checked his facts, but not you.The dhaka match as well as natwest trophy final were normal day matches, while the author Mr.Rajneesh Gupta has talked about the DAY-NIGHT matches only. Why can't people like you just keep away from posting anything when you don't have right information with you. Will you give me a break ?
We have successfully chased a target of 316 against Pakistan(314) in Dhaka (might be in 1998, not sure about the year). When Hrishikesh Kanitkar scored a boundary of the last over.......

The Chase is highest for a day-night match. All the other instances mentioned by different people were all day matches.
Dear Mr. Editor, I would like to point out that an error has been made in the statistical highlights: India Vs Pakistan 4th ODI. It says that this was India's highest total against Pakistan batting second and second to their highest chase of 325. I am pretty confident that this info provided is wrong, India has chased target of 325 twice, and they had chase 314 agains Pakistan in Dhaka. So please do the necessary correction.
There is a mistake in the statistics. India's total (294-5) is not their highest ever total batting second to win against Pakistan In Dhaka(1998) we chased 314 to win against pakies...won by 3 wkts....scoring run was hit by Hrishikesh Kanitkar where he smashed a four of saqlain mushtaq
mr rajneesh seems to have forgotten the Nat west torphy again!!.. this chase is not the second highest chase by india!!! it was the natwest final aganst england!!!Please get mr rajneesh to check his facts b4 putting them.
The writer here says that this is the highest total india has made against pakistan batting second , which is wrong !!! India had succesfully chased 315 in dhaka !!(i cannot remember the date!)by makng 316 and that too in day night encounter!!--This was also a highest run chase record till australia broke it by chasing 330 against south africa.

Mr.Gaurav, you are wrong in both instances. The dhaka match as well as natwest trophy final were normal day matches, while the author Mr.Rajneesh Gupta has talked about the DAY-NIGHT matches only. If you have any doubts, then go to cricinfo or any other site and check the scorecards of these two matches yourself. If you don't have correct facts with you,you have no right to blame the author for errors which are actually non-existing. Plz either come up with correct info or keep yourself busy in some other works.I enjoy reading and preserving these highlights and its very irritating to see people like you making issues out of nothing.

the match in dhaka where india chased 315 was not a day - nght match...it was a day match...it was only becos of bad light that the light were put on which infact were used for football matches...so we cannot call it a day night match....
