I agree that there are many players who chuck including Murali, Akhatar, Malik, Brett Lee. Lets play fair cricket which is gentlemans game. To defend these guys is to disgrace cricket. So I call upon everybody to be fair to the game. Lets play the game with sportsman spirit and not just to win. I remember just a few years ago the West Indies used to play the game in the most fair manner. The batting was fatastic and so was there bowling but everything was done in a fair manner, nowadays to attain a certain speed or to win a game any tactics including sledging is becoming a part of the game. The people like Mustaq Mohammed are far and few to point out such difference so lets decide that we will watch and play fair cricket because winning is not the only thing but the way you play it carries even more weight. it seems like now cricket bowlers are very rapidly becoming baseball pitchers, and the ICC the international body seems to be very little worried about it, as they are very busy in expanding the cricket in differnt parts of the world and making money. shoaib akhtar, murlidharan, shabir ahmed and 1 new bowler in westindian team they are trying to transform cricket into baseball.
there is no doubt that his action is suspect, his arm does tend to straigten at the time of delivery and hence he should be given a chance to coorect his action and then allowed to play international cricket
Well, all the Indians out there seem to forget the bowling action of Harbhajan Singh who was called for chucking. Before that Manoj Prabhakar was a real chucker. Harbhajan could not bowl his straighter bowls without chucking. What about Chauhan. He was a clear chucker. So, before blaming others. Do look at yourself too.
I cant understand the fun behind this message board if u are not going to accomodate opinions that dont necessarily agree with ur 'anti pak' emotions. I Agree with Simpson & Mushtaq. The Law clearly says while bowling you should not not have abend arm & it doesn't says if you have a deformity in your arm, you will be allowed to chuck.
I find it amusing that people are only concerned with Shoib's action when India is playing Pakistan. If ICC decides about everything about cricket, then why dont people Mushatq and Ganguly leave them alone and let them do their job. If ICC has already cleared Shoiab , people esp. players and former players should shut up and mind their own bussiness. Quite true... I was watching the last 2 one day internationals and I completely agree that in EVERY slow motion action replay I found Shoaib Akhtar to be chucking the ball...
EVERY action replay that they showed from the side where you could make out how his bowling hand was coming down you could see that he is CHUCKING...
