HE CHUCKS THE BALL. If his arm is deformed he should not be playing, this goes for every chucker who has proved that he has a congenital defect. It amounts to allowing a hurdler to jump over a lower hurdle in the Olympics because he/she has a congenital defect. It just reeks of ICC politics, where the norm is Vote for my interest here and I will vote for your interest there, typical modus operandi for the likes of Dalmiya. I wish the voting records of all the ICC board members were public, so that everyone can see who was favoured and whose favour was returned. The media should stop paying homage to records that were achieved by breaking the rules of the game. I think there should be some sort of "Fans' Justice" and hope that Murali is called for a "No ball" every time he bowls by the watching crowd. Some will view it as heckling, I think it is appropriate payback by the paying public. I think most kids dreaming to be a world class bowler would be well advised to go to the University of Western Australia first and get a certificate saying they have a congenital defect and then feel free to throw. But then, this probably breaks the myth that this is a batsman's game.
Murali is a great guy.He is defenitely going to achieve many more things in his life.Though he has a birth defect,he certainly proved that it hardly comes in his way of being a great player. All the very best to him.
