U cant win, u make up excuses, thats what u guys have always done. U read the article by Sandhu, the exact same thing, using the power they have to spread the wrong words. The ICC has looked into shoaibs case atleast 4 times and afridi's case atleast once, they've also studied a few other bowlers like muralitharan atleast 5 times, and the final decision is..... they do not chuck, simple as that. U guys dont have the fastest bowler on earth and cant see afridi making kumble eat dirt with his faster balls. Sandhu says the Pakis r bad losers, maybe he should start reading the newspaper again and maybe its time he started looking into cricket before saying whatever crap he has in mind

Akhtar's bowling......
by Rajendra Bongale on Mar 18, 2004 09:26 PM

Yes Ganguly is perfectly right.Look at the bowling of Akhtar, in second one dayer, particularly at he end overs he was actually throwing the ball to tail enders. Its quite surprising that how the match referee missed this.BCCI should complain to ICC. because this is most important series and he just can not escape like this.He should be banned from remaining one day matches and should undergo strict examination.

Grow up Ganguly
by Navneet Mathur on Mar 18, 2004 11:02 AM

I will like to object to Ganguly's comment on Shoaib Akhtar's action. First, it is not his job to judge the bowling action of a competitive cricketer. Second, the ICC has cleared the bowling action of Shoaib Akhtar and hence no need to violate the protocol level by disputing unnecessarily. Shoiab Akhtar unarguably is one of the best fast bowlers in the cricket world and incompetence of Indian batsman to play quality pace is very much visible. Except of Sachin, Sehwag and Rahul no player in Indian team can score runs against pace attack. Laxman should play only against Australia because against other teams his performance is rank bad.

Ganguly may give 100 thousand excuses for him not scoring runs but the question remains on his performance under captaincy pressure. If you just compare him against Ricky Ponting, Fleming or even Heath Streak, you will know the difference. When it comes to real pressure against quality teams, especially while chasing a target, Ganguly has unarguably failed at all times.

I am watching cricket for last 20 years and not even 10 times, Indian team while chasing a quality target, has performed succesfully.

So, Ganguly, let the bat do the talk.

batting paradise

What sourav says is wrong. It is a batting pitch
othrwise how you will pile up 650 hard runs in
100 overs.Except sachin no one stayed in the grease
for the longer period. Pakistan bowler sami bowled
extremly well and he was the only bowler bowled direct
to the stump. Indian gave away lot of extra runs by
way of overthrow/noball/wide which has caused the
turning point to throw away the match to pakistans
favour.
