Why doesnt ten sports beam its original channel so that it may not have to share the live feed with DD and so there will be no hassles of court and why does ten sports increase the fares right now,Just reach whatever agreement it can and start the original Ten sports.
The fellow is trying to blackmail the Government of India on telecats rights. Come on, Don't be childish! There is other way to talk to Indian Government that is one can request. And the govt. will see!
This refers to Mr. bukhatirs remarks on condition of allowing us to watch the match between India and Pakistan. I want him to answer the following questions for us
1-Why Ten channel couldnt finalise all commercial terms with the cable operators in India before hand instead of waiting at last day before the match? 2-Why Ten channel is so much banking on India-Pak series, what great matches and sports does it show to its viewers regularly? 3-Why are they black mailing us to play in sahrjah..to recover their television rights money from those matches or to allow again a betting scandal to be started once again there?. Moreover he should be clear that we are a democratic country and can choose or noty to choose play anywhere in the world. He cannot dictate.
Govt. of India must clearly tell PTV, PCB and TenSports that Indian team's tour will be called of unless - 1. DD gets the telecasting rights for a fee of at least US$ 10 million payablebyTenSports to DD. (DD is actually gving a large audiene ofadvertizer's customers. Why should they pay?) 2. There will be no matches at Sharjah unless we have a clear option to pull out anytime when there is slightest misbehaviour with ANY Indian. 3.Any matches at Sharjah will have to acept certain level of Indian management control
Indians arethe stars of these shows. It is time tolet the world know that we will not brook any nonsense.
It is high time Govt. of India should entertain such things. We don't need to go to Sharjah.
We presently see how the issue related to the Broadcast of Current Series is been exploited by Ten Sports by charging 5 times the Cost.
We are one of the highest contributors through sponsorship as much of revenue comes from Indian Companies to Ten Sports. why we should pay more to view the game?
