Outbacks are outbacks, they won't change...
by Ravi on Jun 16, 2004 08:56 PM

Murali, at least, is criticised about his action, but Warne was a guy who was charged with match-fixing, and I don't see how he can make such shameless comments. Field hockey was killed by Europeans by introducing lifeless synthetic courts, ball-holding rules were changed in table tennis to drown the Chinese, and now it's the turn of Murali to face the guillotine. And, Gosh, I never thought Bishen Singh Bedi would be such a mudslinging monster! John Emburey of England never had a full rotation of the arm. He was catapulting the cricket ball all his life, and nobody even made a mention about it. No Australian has been punished for spreading indecency in sport by spitting out sacred four letter words with a 'momma' prefix. It's not a pro-Asian tirade, the players have been scrutinized and the results are out. John Howard has the typical convict-descent mentality, and one can see that from how he stopped the refugees mid-sea without allowing them into White Australia just before the last elections to garner support! It's like Manmohan Singh calling Warne a money-eating monkey who can throw Australia's matches into ditches for the sake of a couple of thousand dollars. Shame.

Thick Skin Australians
by yasho on Jun 16, 2004 04:45 PM

There is one major difference in a gentleman and a thug. A gentleman has emotions and and respect for himself and others. Thug lack both of these qualities and so are Australians. Australians lack respect for anything which is not white and they always talk big about themselves and try to belittle others. Shane Warne "The skirt chaser" and Lilly's statements confirms my statements. Listen Lilly Muralitharan has played all these Tests and taken all these cheap wickets, like against the Zimbabwe 2nd XI, but now he is not fronting up when the going gets tough." When Mathew Hayden broke Lara's record he was showered with praises. Just because he was an Australian.

Shane's too 'thick-skinned'
by Swarup on Jun 16, 2004 04:36 PM

Shane too is surrounded by controversy. It's a case of the kettle calling the pot Black...

Shane's too thick-skinned after his regular brushes with controversy (drug, sexual harrassment, secret affairs, etc....) and he may have lost sensitivity to personal attacks. It's a shame that the Australian Prime Minister has dragged himself into the controversy, just as he dragged his country into Iraq.

Australia is definitely the most challenging tour for a country not only because of the pitches, but because touring teams cannot hope to get a fair treatment.

Murali is not only thin-skinned
by amudhan rp on Jun 16, 2004 01:07 PM

Off spinner Murali is not only thin skinned. He is black skinned. That is the problem now. Shane warne who is a shame for any sportsperson, can behave immorally and do anything. His case will be dealt with friendly attitude by the white media. He and his other fellow whites will be called as naive and stupid.

But non-whites should not show any sign of doing anything that is not appropriate. they will be dealt severely, rudely, arrogantly, and ruthlessly.

Besides australians believe in playing cricket on and off the field. their prime minister does not have any business to talk openly against any sportsperson. He is supposed to be the head of the nation.

Australia = No deceny.

Murali thin-skinned
by vrkalyanakrishnan on Jun 16, 2004 12:28 PM

Everybody cannot be as thick skinned as Warne is. We Asians are thin skinned compared to the Europeans, Australians and Americans. What I find is that these countries find it difficult to digest the success of Asians, whether it be in the field of sports, industrialisation or in Arts, there is always some sort of criticism against successful Asians.

shaMe warne is a loser
by kargan on Jun 16, 2004 11:52 AM

warne calling murali thin-skinned is outrageous ..but of course.. what can u exepect from a man who does not know what INTEGRITY an self respect mean . Warne ,who is famous for his off the field exploits more than what he had achieved on the field , has to understand that there are still cricketers who value self respect

If its one thing, that they have learnt to pick up from their roots, its how to run their mouth.

Shame on Shane warne, needs to tighten up;

guys - leave murali alone, it takes a lot of guts to compete at that level; obviously sour grapes exist.
