All the messages posted for this article asks abt Waugh's mistake. That technical mistake was to enforce follow on to India instead of batting and giving a target in excess of 400-450. Though rediff frequently uses these type of stunts to attract readers to a useless article
I think Steve's mistake was to put india bat for 2nd time.... Australia could have batted for the second time and then put India to bat.... Anyway report is quite careless....
I think was Border was refering to is the much discussed decision of Waugh to enforce the follow on at Calcutta. Oh, by the way, this is a terribly written article, the author goes back and forth between different topics and can't seem to hold a coherent thought for more than a couple of seconds ... Please don't publish such junk again.
What's Border doing Cola mining in India and why is he playing Golf and what mistake did Steve Waugh make - letting Laxman make 281* ??? But I thought Sri. Laxman made that score himself. Did Mr. Waugh help him score a few boundaries by asking his fielders to throw the ball into the fence after fielding??
What are rediff's sports editors doing - enjoying the sun in Bahamas!!!
I guess the idiots who wrote the remarks do not know their cricket. Waugh made the mistake of not batting and imposed the follow on that resulted in Laxman's 281. This is the state of critics in our country. It was a bigblunder.
I had to go thru the article atleast 5 times to try to find out what technical mistake had Steve waugh made during the Kolkata test that cost them the test.
I dont think the article makes any sense seeing the way the title and the body have been written.
