I really feel sorry for Abhijit Kale's plight. In the media, his performances have been completely ignored. An average of 58, and 25 centuries in first class cricket is the kind of record even Sachin Tendulkar would be proud of. That Abhijit Kale does not find a place in the Indian team is really shocking.
The charges on Abhijit Kale are flimsy and comic. Consider the fact that India ranks very very high on the corruption rating list. To punish a truly great cricketer for offering money is a cruel act. I hope and pray to the god that the perpetrators of this cruel act get suitably punished in the near future.
what a verdict is this on abhijit kale?.how can the board keep him out of action for six months while at the same time declaring that he has not bribed anyone.this is utter ambiguity. regards venkatesh chandre gowda.h
The abhijit kale scandal was an example of how things are going on in indian cricket. Bribing selectors, requesting them to select a player is this how indian players are selected if this is so then indian cricket is heading for a bleak dark future. We have to hope that this scandal proves to be a warning for such people. The punishment given by the BCCI should have been stricter to stop such scandals
