my simple reply is that according to constitution of any country there is equal punishment of same sin performed by anybody if its true then how can shane warne can be left free how can mark waugh had been left free.and i would like to talk aboyt the double standard of icc when its in there rule book that who so ever will take the steriod will be banned for 2 years then why shane warne was left free after one year only
I am an ardent fan of Azhar. But if he has really taken money to Fix matches then he should be given the punishment a Traitor is given. Having said that I think Azhar's involvement in Match Fixing is not proven beyond doubt, nor has he Confessed as Hansie did. BCCI's inquiry itself looks more dubious than Azhar's alleged involvement. Look where Ajay Jadeja is without actually doing anything. So until Proven Guilty Azhar should be allowed to do all those things a Normal cricketer does. Azhar was not just a Batsman, but an artist with a Bat instead of a Brush. So elegant was his Batting. Also he was the fittest of all the team members and really dedicated to his cricket. India should make use of his talents instead of wasting it. Its about time we thought rationally and judged everyone equally. Everyone related to Indian cricket earns money in heaps. Already without proving anything Azhar and Jadeja are isolated. So why can't they give their comments on a Private Channel ??? If you don't want to listen then change the channel. Let them Live atleast.
ICC had done a big mistake by ban on azar & jadja. If both will be there for the last worldcup there may be a chances to win. Both r Good Batsmen & Good fielders. Both will be equal to S.Waugh in manging the team.If both r there Indian will stronger team than Australia (my favourate team).
the ban on azhar shud be lifted, nothing has been proved, jus on the basis of assumptions, u cant ruin anybodies life, fingers were pointed at kapil, and when he was given a cleen chit, the detractors had to shut up,
give the guy a fair trial, and if he is guilty, THEN PUNISH HIM
I do agree with Kapil Dev's point of view. enough of punishment to Azhar.I feel pitty and also shame on the people who doubt Kapil's devotion to Indian cricket. There are thousands of polititians and other people who have not been executed for the crimes they have committed against society and nation but we have been after azhar, and ICC had already done their part as far Azhar is concerned. Also BCCI is keeping mum on his issue. Its high time. Even if he was involved in betting, atleast considering his contribution to indian cricket in past he should be spared now at least.
No more injustice to that god gifted talent, lets have some good memories about this great player, lets back him up now, like ICC do for their western players.
Its totally disgusting in dealing with the match fixing case as only the chapter of azhar is opened and others are closed. As it is beyond the imagination , The countries like Australia and SA are defending there allegdedly envolved players in match fixing like Mark wough and H.Gibbs and we are shouting on our most but one successfull skipper ,it is not justice. BCCI should lift the ban on azhar
Everyone sympathizes with Mohammed Azharuddin here after Ehsan Mani, the learned International Cricket Council president, says in a press conference that cricket has no place for the disgraced former India skipper. Azhar has more friends in Colombo than he has in entire India he has led India to some fine wins in this country and his affable manners have won many Sri Lankans over.
The feeling here is Azhar, in Sri Lanka doing duty for a television channel, has a right to earn his living in a legal manner and the ICC has no business trying to sabotage his contract with the TV channel. Why is the ICC quiet on the Zimbabwe issue? Is Azhar more evil than Robert Mugabe? Fair point.
The man himself is cool and nonchalant. He doesnt want to say much on the issue, and just prefers to greet known faces in the press box and have a quiet word with them while giving his exclusive comments to his television employers.
