I think we Indians are too critical at times when we lose, Our captain is trying his level best to maintain the consistency "which is the name of a game", So don't worry guys, keep watching cricket and supporting India, this Asia cup will be in our pocket, All the very best to Indian Cricket Team and its ardent supporters.
Whoever has written this piece for PTI sends out a wrong message out there and I see this syndrome with most writers where they take the message of the captain on team strategy and convey it as if the captain is appealing to the players through the newspapers (in this case it is an appeal for consistency)!!
Clearly in the writeup one notices that Ganguly is only spelling out team strategy which he and all members of the team have together discussed and approached in their own team meetings. However, the piece depicts it as if Ganguly is the all-&-mighty who has come up with this great idea of consistency and is using the media to convey this idea to the team. Wake up, sportswriter dude!! Ganguly has already discussed 'consistency' with the team and doesn't need your piddly write-up to appeal for anything from his team.
The title should've read "Team India aims for consistency" Then go on to say that Ganguly has stressed on consistency with his teammates. The sublimnal message that goes out is that the Indian team does not discuss these things among themselves or even worse - that the team never bothers to listen to Ganguly unless he uses the media to "appeal" to them!
