Indian team needs to be consistent
by Nakul Kadaba on Jul 15, 2004 10:22 PM

India will win the Asia Cup if they remain on their toes like last season. Bangladesh, UAE, and Hong Kong will not be a problem of course. Pakistan can be beaten through their somewhat- weak batting line-up (with the exception of Afridi, Inzy, Yousuf, and Razzaq). Sri Lanka, however, is a different story...because of their number of all-rounders and spinners. Just use Kumble and Harbu on them and they will succumb to the Indian Juggernaut!

It wont be so easy!
by John Baki on Jul 13, 2004 09:45 PM

Indian team has been doing so well from the recent series but it must realise that the matches with srilanka wouldn't be so easy or rosy as they were with the Paki's as the fighting spirit of the Sri Lankan team is far beyond comparable to that of the Pakistan. Right now Srilanka has shown it's best performance and will continue to do so in the future tournaments. India must work out a strategy to maintain the winning streak through it's new bowlers and also the senior batsmen must stick to the wicket to give their team a headlifting contribution.
