Srilanka does not have Dravid to stay at the wicket to get the win. By the time they realise series will be over by clean sweep. I am not expecting srilanka even draw a match in this series other than Rain comes 4 days out of 5 days.
Once again cricket has suffered by playing on the portable "drop-in" pitches. This wicket was just laid recently in Marrara Cricket Ground, Darwin. Had they played on the natural pitch of the same ground, the match would have lasted 4 days and helped the batsmen also and not just the bowlers. Couple of years ago India got mauled by NZ in NZ on these drop-in pitches. Even there it was a bowlers paradise and the batsmen came a cropper.
that's was a horrible play by Sri Lanka; what happened? if you have 3 days to get 312 runs, you'd think that it would be possible since you have 3 days. however, with the exception of Jayawardene, Vaas, Samaraweera, and the new Malinga, the Lankans didnt try their hardest. congrats to the Aussies and Gilchrist for his 3rd test win as captain. congrats to McGrath for getting his form again. awesome figures man!
