Well this Sunday Final At the SCG was a Mediocre Performance From Our Indian Team And Our SO Called Great Players Were No Where Near To What they Promised To Deliver in the Finalls. they Lacked the Killing ibstinct & the Game they Playn was Absolutely Stupid 1 , It seems That Only the Australians Were Playing And the Indians were Playing Like The Ball Boys ,,,,,, it was really Dissapointing From the indian Think Tank it was the same Mistake Which they Followed By Not Changing the Batting Order ,,A Raw Tallent Like Yuvaraj Sing Is wAsted Down the Order n its Been So Throught out the Ausi Tour , the Bouncing Pitches Of Aus Sutes His Kinda Battings So he must have been given a chance to bat up the Order But it was not so

Need Winning Sprit and Confidence
by Alex on Jan 23, 2004 04:19 PM

In the Last Two Months the indian Performance are very well. But the Winning Sprit is less. They lose their confidence at the End of the Stages.Don't lose the confident and Fighting Sprit at the End of the Ball. The Indians Need to Study More Lessions From AUS(They are Best Examples). The World Top Class Players all are in Indian Team. Why they lose Games?
MSG :-Keep it up and Improve ur Confident and Winning Sprit. We are Indians....We are Best in All Fields...

An error

Your account was very nice. But if I am not mistaken, the rule docking sides overs for delay in completing their quota has been scrapped. It is now a fine which is applied to the side, and not an overs penalty.

Laxman, the SELFISH
by Harish on Jan 23, 2004 09:37 AM

while the match review speaks a lot about how laxman and yuvraj built a great partnership, it somehow (conscious effort on the part of the author?) to mention how self-centered laxman's innings was towards the end. 89 of 107 balls. And from then on went to score his 100 in 127 balls (which 9 dot balls at least, maybe even more) and this was when we were around the 45-46th over. I am sure a few extra runs would have made the difference. But dear Mr. Laxman was more interested in getting his century than working for the team's cause. What good is a century if it does not help the team? I would rather get out. Worst of all was when he signalled yuvraj to take a single so he could get his 100. Ladies and Gentlemen, team-spirit!!! Learn from Laxman!!!! For those who come to his defense saying it was clever bowling, replay the match and you will see occasions when he ducked, let the ball alone etc. etc. etc. All I ask is, was is so hard that he could not take a single? He was able to smash brett lee for a four after he got his hundred! This guy does not deserve to be in the team.

Don't Blame Balaji!!!!
by Vasudev Udhatya on Jan 23, 2004 08:55 AM

Hi Folks,
Balaji did bowl a bad last over but that does'nt mean that he's a bad bowler. the match situation changed coz parthiv missed a very costly stumping.

hope balaji is retained for the next one dayer... he's been amongst wickets and also in form.

Laxmanism costed us the match.
by venkprasad on Jan 23, 2004 08:06 AM

It is time that India makes it clear that anyone found playing for himself rather than the team will be punished - even if it is the best batsman in the team.

Laxman's crawl from 93 to 100 was disgusting !
