yes ofcourse ball tempering has to be legalise now india has some new youngster who can definetely make reverse swing & other country who has now got the youngster who can do handel it well
I believe there is absolutely nothing wrong with legalising the 'roughening' of ball surface. I will not call it tampering. After all the game is already heavily loaded in favour of batsmen. We have laws preventing even novice bowlers from bowling more than one bouncer to the greatest of batsmen, but do we ever dare ask Hayden not to pull our bowlers more than a stipulated number of times. Come on lets make the game more even. Give bowlers the means they have on person to do whatever they want to do the ball and let the batsmen develop the technique required to counter reverse swing.
I think the question the way it is asked is silly. First of all we need to define ball tampering. Up until the rest of the world figured it out how to shine one side of the ball to get reverse swing, Pakistani bowlers were charged with ball tampering now the whole world is doing it. I have seen spinners put dirt on the ball in the name if keeping their hands dry. Is that legal? What about putting a mixture of sweat, sun screen and vaseline off your face on one side of the ball to make it super smooth? Aussie and English players have done this for ages. Any external object applied to the ball should be considered ball tampering. All else is fair game becasue it can't be controlled anyway.
Its a surprise to red some of the comment on this issue of ball-tampering.. if ball tamper should be allowed offically then why should a team look forward for a genuine bowler its better to have 11 batsmen who knows a some thing about bowling.Changing the condition of the ball helps the bowler to gain more advance then his own ability and as per when some one is found guilty to this should be banned for months so they, he respect the game and his own ability. I am not a expert to comment but as a lover and person who has played it thinks that a bowler must have his own style to bowl his ball to a batsmen then tampering it and then using the conditions.
