Reminds me of the English cricketer (can't remember who, but surely was one of those yorkshire miners called up from the pit to save England) who replied when asked what he thought of a particular pitch, "I think people pay too much attention to pitches." Then continued in his Yorkshire drawl after a moment of reflection,"Frankly methinks people pay too much attention to bowlers." Indian batsmen will do well to remember that dictum.
Dear Mr Prem, While the approach to cricket games appears to be getting 'brainier' with each game; various styles of analysis, Psycho, compu..etc, the de-mystifying of opposition is sure impressive. However, I found the mentioned comments by Indian bowling coach Bruce Reid mystifying! With McGrath, Warne and Gillespie out of action during the test series, it would be(atleast) painful if the Indian team was really getting bogged down mentally with the reputation of Aussie bowling! :(
Congrats to the Indians for their sound victory at Brisbane.the aussies do well to remember that "They may win against some teams for all times ,all teams for some times but not aginst all teams for all times." The Indians should exploit the following aspects to win further games. Lee should be attacked..Bevan is getting less effective. The aussie feilding is also not top class with catches being dropped&possible runouts not effected. calculated risks can be taken .Padmanabhan
