There is no doubt that Steve Waugh was a great Cricketer & Captain .But more than this his involvement in orphanages/welfare measures for the poor & down trodden is outstanding.it is high time that all our cricketers contribute a bit of their incomes towards charity even if they do not physically involve themselves.Padmanabhn
I wonder, when we will again get such a golden opportunity to win a series in Australia. U need a strong batting line-up to win matches in Australia and I sincerely doubt if our batting line-up will ever be stronger than the current one! The moment Saurav decided against enforcing the follow-on, the match at best was in for a draw, if not for a loss. If we hadn't got the openers early(!?! - in relative terms) today, we would have definitely presented a fitting farewell to Steve!!! Hmm, anyway, Steve is lucky, after all. Fortune favours the brave! And noone fits the bill better than Steve! Hats off to the greatest-ever warrior in Cricket.
