Congratulations to Parthiv Patel for hitting his first test fifty in style. It has been a gem of an innings and it will do a lot of good for the confidence of the youngster. Parthiv's top score in test cricket, Sachin's top score in his illustrious career, Kumble's deadly spell that fetched him four important wickets and young Irfan's late evening successful burst brought a happy end to an eventful day for Team India against the mighty Australians well known for their counter attacks. We all know that Team India is having all the necessary ingredients to make India a Super Power in World Cricket ! Come on Anil ! Please continue in the same style !
Don't Forget that a Tiger will be tiger even after being older. Kumble has given a better chance to the Indian Tigers to give a hard memorable ending to the Australian Skipper Steve Waugh. Steve Waugh had a dream to make indian Team Loose in India but i think that Indian team has a better chance to give Australian skipper a final salutation what he deserved.
Indian team should make at least 400 runs and then should give australian team more than one day to play. There is no way of seeing india loosing but Indian team should try there best to be on our faith by winning the series. COME ON INDIA JEETNA HAI TODAY.
I am pretty sure that most of the Indians, just like you and me, are getting excited about a possibility of an Indian series win in Australia. But as a reporter/columnist, I think you are expected to show a little restraint while expressing your excitement, considering that, as a reporter, your work will be more appreciated when it is unbiased.
Headlines like "India in sight of win", when Australia has not even finished its first innings does not improve your credibility.
So are statements like "Mathew Hayden will never have the class of Laxman" etc. Such comparisons are good when that's what the entire article is about - not when you are reporting a day's event in a Test match.
The Aussie commentators were unusually aggressive and arrogant when the Australian innings started, what with their openers hitting right and left the Indian bowlers.
One of them commented that Indians are going to tea with their tails between their legs; and commented the Indian tails are up when Kumble started taking wickets.
The comments only show that their level intellectual and diplomatic maturity is at rock bottom. Will they ever learn to grow up?! India-based TV channels inviting these type of commentators for matches played in India as well as the Indian commentators shall take note of such comments.
Your scorecard of australia's first innings says that Brad Williams is a part of australian squad for the last test. Well then where is Jason Gillispie who bowled so well against indians in this last test match.
I think you people are really started to loosen up.. and will probably loose some customers..
