Those who writtern off Kumble - Now swallow their words.
by nagendra on Jan 05, 2004 10:49 AM

Hello,

I have seen many columns written in rediff.com when the indian start off to the Australian tour, in almost all the columns they have criticised Kumble selection for the spinner post now they have swallow their words after his brilliant performance against aussies, even they published the report of Jayan Lele who doesn't know any thing about cricket but predicted a whitewash for india . he went to mention that he too can take a wicket or so if he can bowl 40 overs or so. That was crap, all the reports published in rediff became hallow without any substance about INDIAN team performance. They overcame all prediction wrong. But one should remember that in bouncy track like australia pitches will support more who rely on bounces that what kumble exploited. As Langer rightly mentioned left arm spinner nothing to do anything there. Any way it is wonderfull watching cricket match between these two countries

John Buchanan
by danny Fernandes on Jan 03, 2004 03:09 AM

Like most people in the Aussie team John Buchanan is no different. They all tend to talk a bit too much and the idea being to upset the mind set of the Indian Team. Each one of them has a go at certain Individuals. Buchana had said at the very outset that this would be a 4-0 whitewash. Instead they have been taken to the cleaners in the second Test.

Now if the Law of Average has to apply to Tendulkar then by the same coin I would say that Ponting should fare disastrously as he has had a dream run so far and the ducks are bound to follow.

So get real John Buchanan and Go Go Go India.
Given a chance even Buchanan would start sledging from the Pavillion , the way things are shaping up.

on india's performance

i am not surprised the way indians batted today they have the grit and will power to do so, since they have done it earlier also, but tomorrow they have to maintain the same tempo and make some good score so that we can put pressure on host team.
since both the master batsman are at the crease nothing is impossible provided if they able to manage the initial hours of play. at last i must wish goodluck to the indian team to emerge as a winner against the world champion's. ok. bye.
