we should never send our team to pakistan primarily due to security reasons, the assurances given to india from them ould be mere eyewashes, moreover we will loose badly under such obnoxious environments, which involves playing under guns, with hearts in our mouth. When pakistani people themselves are feeling insecure about their own lives, how can indians team feel secure.
dear sir, The idea of sending Indian team to pakistan doesn't sound good.Wether it is before or after the elections always the millitant groups wait for the chance of damaging any thing related to INDIA. Let us assume that a tight security will be provided to our team.Will it be of a higher standard than that provided to Gen.Musharraf?Even he nearly became the victim two times in very quick succession. In this tight security our players can't concentrate on the game and defeats will be inevitable if they can't put their minds completely on the matters. This will lead to unnecessary humiliation .
So if matches are to be held between these 2 countries , they should be held in Neutral venues.
Like all Indians would feel, I am of the opinion that if there exists any threat to our cricketers they should not go to Pakistan at all. If no threat exists then they should go. All this talk of postponing the tour is absurd. It should either be a clear go or no go. I dont see how a threat that exists today cannot exist two or three months from now. All the people who are advocating postponement till after the elections are being very selfish and are thinking of only their electoral fortunes and not the safety of the players. If they had any concern about the safety of the players then their stand should be a firm no if there exists any threat to our players and not a postponement till the elections are over. I think they are just scared that in the event of the team suffering a loss or any untoward incident happening (god forbid both), their electoral chances might get effected. I wish that people would stop mixing politics and sports and take decision based on facts and genuine concern about the safety of our cricketers.
Now then! Whats going on folks! I just wonder what has changed so drastically, so as to re-consider sending our team to Pak, from the day when we decided to send our team, and now! Well, I guess its the elections in India!, Not the misciles not even the A.Q. Khan epiosode.(the A.Q Khan excuse infact making one feel speachless, thinking to the extend we can stoop when it comes to making excuse). The simple thing is, if there is an India Pak tie and the election, for all your money, rest assured the India Shining and the Foreign Origin campaigns will go to the dogs, and thats the last thing the politicians here want. So dear country men, be prepared to make yet another sacrifice for the sake of the "greatest democracy" in the world. Lets watch Atal vs. Sonia for the timebeing and well, Sachin vs Shoaibs can wait !!!
we should not send out team to Pakistan just because of not security reason but some other factors also. first off all pakistan is heavan of terrist. their palyers are not playing in sportsman spirit they are playing like soldiers that any way we want to win by hook or by crook. I am totally against with sending team to pakistan
I dont know why these people are pressing the indian cricket team to go and play in Pakistan. What will they get by putting the team to play in that country where even new-zealanders were attacked. Indian cricket team don't want any certificates from Pakistan to prove that they are good.
