i think let the icc or rediff must look closely the performances of players and its a bullshit if rediffthinks that ganguly mustr be included in the best of the world team and that oo as a captain, if in my hands i would not even let him play for india,cos he just occupying a place for his 20 to 40 runs we are 100 crores lets find one more tendulker or shewag but no gaguly please

Hello Its not that 20 -40 runs that important, its ofcourse the person who is leading the team is important. 4 years ago India was a pathetic team and we were ashamed of their poor perfomance.
Also I dont think you know the records of Ganguly. See his average, Its not less than Tendulkar and and far better than Shewag. Know the facts before you comment. Its seems like you dont like DADA's that is your problem. I am not sure if you are happy with India's recent perfotmance. Open your eye.

MAJAZ, Ganguly is the best captain India had after Kapil Dev (he's better cause he won the world cup). Ganguly is better than Sehwag. Ganguly is not getting centuries cause he's batting at #4 or #5. His 40's and 50's are pivotal to a big score. Without Ganguly Indian team does not get the attitude it needs to beat Australia. The World XI need that attitude to beat Australia.

mr, where r u now, rnt u following indian cricket oflate. we beat austratlia at there home, we reached world cup final, we beat pak at there home ( which we never did),wake up, know the facts and post ur view. sourav is second to sachin scoring 22ODI centuries, infact he scored them at a brisk rate than anyother international player.Infact as real team player he is coming down the order( inspite scoring most of his centuries opening the innings) and u better remember that THE GREAT sachin could not handle the captency pressure, where sourav is determined and took the team where it is now.
I am sorry rediff.com.You both teams are pathetic.Firstly in the test team,Fleming or Cairns can come in for VVS Laxman.And moreover i feel you cant have chuckers in a world 11 team.Murali and Shoaib can be replaced by Vettori and Makhaya Ntini respectively.
Regarding the One day team,it's absolutely very very worse.It's a pathetic selection.Firstly Ganguly as a captain to a world 11 is a disgrace.Again Ntini can come in for Vaas,CHUCKER PAR EXCELLENCE Murali by Vettori,Razzaq by Cairns and SHIRT STRIPPER PAR EXCELLENCE Ganguly by Stephen Fleming.The team should be led by the great leader himself,Fleming.The reason for my selection of Vettori,Cairns and Fleming is that you people have not acknowledged the great talents of the New Zealand team and included all trash.Anyone who can beat my team ? i dont think so.

yes it is true we can have non - playing captain but it is out of rule in cricket. and by the way i think ganguly shud be in team not because i think he is great batsman. i also know he is not good batsman but why he is not? just try to understand becuse he is excellent captain after ricky. u even saw anybody who become captain does not bat good. for example u saw dravid he became captain and lost his batting skills. the same problem is with ganguly. and we want a aggressive captain that is ganguly. inzy, lara, tendulkar, pollok or anybody else is not aggressive nor their team is proggressive. if we say tendulkar he is not a captain i want to see his batting. and whenever he be a captin we can see him going in pavallion. so ganguly can be captain but lara or pollok can be vise captain. is it not true!.
both the teams are short of fast bowlers.for pitches in south africa you need three quality fast bowlers. and there are only two in both the teams.instead of taking seven batsmen for test,go for 3 fast bowlers, 1 spinner,1 wicket keeper,6 batsman(allrounder included)
i'm quite surprised that many of us are including kallis in onedayers. agreed he is a great batsman,very good bowler and excellent fielder. but he can't score quickly.as far as klusener is concerned we have to see where the match is being played. if it is in a turning track then he should be omitted as he can't play even parttime spinners in a genuine turning track.it's surprising that we select bowlers by looking at the pitch but don't do so while selecting the batters.
