BCCI should do more.
by Deepak Masta on Dec 31, 2004 12:54 PM

BCCI being the richest sports body in India should donate more out of the funds it has. Even Cricketers such as Sachin, Ganguli, Dravid should donate sums like that individually.

Indian Cricketers - Where are they???
by Sunder on Dec 31, 2004 12:34 PM

BCCI has announced that they are pledging Rupees 1 crore as aid and also staging a tri-nation tournament to raise money for the Tsunami victims. At this junction where are the Indian Cricketers who happen to be the highest paid sports-persons in India, idols of millions of people old & young, where is their personal contributions?

Stingy BCCI
by Venkat on Dec 31, 2004 08:34 AM

BCCI, the richest sports body in the world contributes a meagre Rs 1 cr., this can be compared to the contribution of Shri Anil Ambani's 1 cr, Infosys' 5 Cr, etc

However all these are voluntary contributions, neither do they want to improve the game by having good infrastructure nor do they want to open their kitty.

Firstly they dont want to spend from their pockets, by they are ever-ready to the milk the public by organising fund-raising matches. Though fund-raising is a good but where is the initiative to part your profits !!!

Shame on the BCCI.

Regards,
Venkat
