I think that is true. He can do better with a shorter run up. Surely he wants to be a great bowler, but not in this way. His body language also counts much. Taking more time is affecting other bowlers. But, who can convince him? Coach, or others....? Question is that are there any other options? or is there any oneelse who can replace Shoaib?
Don,t worry mc grath that is not your peoblem The ravalpindi exp have that capacty to make become the world great blower you & your team may be controll on the brett . he may be taken the long run up ,what wrong with your team that every one may be saying that the aussie is the best one rest of world ,when murlidharan completing the leading wicket taker then the shane say that he may be throwing the ball U may be remeber that the shane taken dopping during the world cup The other blower will taken that then yours team may be taken a major issue on that so my massage towords that don take panga with shoaib
McGrath's comments as well as Bob Woolmer's resignation not to ask Sohaib to reduce his run-up highlight concepts and principles that individuals and teams must come to grips with in the interest of both.
Perhaps, these concepts and principles need to be properly, clearly and honestly discussed amongst all relevant parties.
Either it is a shorter run up or longer run up,shoiab has to avoid chucking the ball, ask shoiab to avoid throwing the ball while he is bowling,he is not bowling,he is throwing the ball,if shoaib used to bowl the ball then he will be better now he is throwing the ball, cricket is a game in which we used to bowl the ball to the batsman,we used to throw the ball when we field the ball, everytime shoiab is fielding,ie everytime shoiab is throwing the ball
well...Glenn mcgrath is right....shoaib is a showman and it is show men who have kept the game alive and give the kicks of watching a match. nobody can be as boring as the clinical Mcgrath...keeps bowling the same dull line and length...gets wickets, contains runs...but imagine a team wth three ppl like him...australia will be such a boring side to watch...the lees and the gillespies cover up for him....so well said mcgrath...u keep taking wickets ...the larger job of promoting the game will be done by better people....
