Sachin's flawed century
by Fazle Quayum on Dec 12, 2004 04:48 PM

It was really sad to see that a great batsman like Sachin Tendulkar had to complete two great milestones - his 34th test century and thus joint highest in the world, and his highest test score - in a terribly flawed environment of dropped catches and stumping chances !!!

If the repeats these heroics against Pakistan in the immediately forthcoming series, he will have redeemed himself.

Sachin scores 34th Test century

Had Sachin Tendulkar scored 150 test runs against a quality side like Australia or South Africa, I would have saluted him. Against these teams, he was all at sea while batting and got out for low scores.

The century he has scored is against Bangladesh, a very weak side, and their bowlers are ineffectual. Had the Bangladeshi fielders taking the first catch, Tendulkar would have been out for 0.

Tendulkar is finished as a batsman and should gracefully call it quits.

34 and Counting....................
by Vamshi on Dec 12, 2004 12:27 AM

Congrats Tendulkar for equalling Sunny's Record of 34 Centuries...so whats next on your list??? This series in Bangladesh will be remembered for records rather than a competition..

YOu are the most recognized player in the whole world just behind David Beckham. So keep playing attacking cricket and forget about records they will come if the way you used to play in ur early years....

Thanks
Vamshi

He's back baby!
by 6 + 4 = Ten_dulkar on Dec 11, 2004 06:19 PM

This is to all the backstabbers in the indian crowd, tendulkar is back . Today it's bangladesh, tomorrow the world. After he's done, he'll make gavaskar's(no offence to this legend) and all the other "previous" record holders look like clowns. But the marvel of it is that he's not a least bit arrrogant and haughty. I know i'm going a little overboard, but hey a tendulkar fan will always get emotional in times like these. Later.

India losing wickets like this is very bad.Sehwag is not learning from early ones.He is thinking about captaincy of Indian team but playing foolish shots. He is not capable of captain.Lot of good players are there.

tendulkar's century
by harish sharma krishnamurthy on Dec 11, 2004 04:07 PM

Hello there,

Wonder if Tendulkar is there to score centuries against bangldesh, next whom against china?

I think my grandmother could do that!

As long as this country doesn't give equal importance to all players, cricket will never get the true status it deserves.

This guru-chela parampara should end.

Signing off with a bad taste.

Harish
