Why not send him back to India? Team India can play and win without him. Some nuts and the media are portraying as if we cannot play without him. It is high time to stop all this idiotic propoganda. There are also others' in the Team India who have won more matches for India than this so-called great. Let us stop being `individualistic' and start grasping the notion of `Team'.

Does anybody have the guts of sending him home or will he continue to be with the team to provide inspiration and hoping to be fit for the future?

''decider'' at Lords??
by haris on Aug 30, 2004 02:00 AM

the decider wud b @ Lords? is it necessary that the first two matches wud not b won by any single side? how can u already call the LORDS match as the decider? Or is it that the 3rd ODI s the only match to look out for..irrspective of the results of the first two matches?

Be clear & specific instead of being superfluous, rediff!

FLORENCE
Sachin the ace

If he has got a tennis elbow then let him play tennis! And whenever he gets his cricket elbow back, we will welcome him back into the team. Right now he is more required by the sponsorers in India for all those upcoming ads we are yet to see on television. Instead of cricket, get him into ads, and he'll surly say "ab kaun rokega meri muskaan'!!!

If he is unjured so why not send him back to India for treatment and rest rather than to take him in the luggage and roam around the world! Doesn't it cost to pay for his travel, stay and fooding etc.? Why roaming around with such a player who has got no role in the team at all right now? IS TEAM INDIA A SACHIN-SICK TEAM LASTLY?

Stop this rubbish!!!

How much more would we keep going on about the great Sachin's exploits!!!
This is only on paper...has he ever carried his bat through in a important 1 Day international & won a match for India...Never!!!!
And as long as we continue to treat our Players like Gods...we'll never get a consistent performance from them like the Australians.
Playing & winning matches for the country is secondary for them....the primary purpose is however to ensure that their wives are comfortable & enjoy their sight seeing
Ever heard about wives being permitted to stay with their husband in their office during working hours....!!!!
Look no further...we have them here

Was Tendulkar ever in the series since the last 1 year?
I think he is too engrossed in ADVERTISEMENTS to think of Country first. Personally I think the Tendulkar that we know is now all but a Memory.
Now the one in front of us is Gunning for Money and personal records much like Sunil Gavasker
Now INDIA has taken a backseat to this man and I think the people in the Cricket community should start thinking of his replacement

We have been hard on tendulkar . Whatever a sports person makes is due to his achievements. Tendulkar is still the god of indian cricket no matter what anyone says. without him INDIAN CRICKET would be absconding like bangladesh. He has done a lot for indian cricket so dont blame him.what the hell have u guys done for INDIA.

Sorry to interrupt, but did you mean to say that India always lost all matches before we had Tendulkar? If somebody has not seen Indian Cricket before we had Tendulkar, then there is nothing to say.

No one is ignoring his contribution to Indian Cricket, but that cannot give him a permanent place in the national team forever! For all that he has done, haven't we also remunerated him? Its business! He didn't do us any favor. And don't forget, Matthew Hayden recently commented rightly that Indian players play more for their personal achievements rather's team's achievements.
