Glenn Maxwell after Indo-Aus ODI series 2016
by Rachit Sharma on Jan 23, 2016 06:35 PM

The current controversy around Glenn Maxwell's comment regarding Indian batsmen, especially Virat Kohli revolves around this comment made by Matthew Hayden more than 11 years ago! This comment made by Hayden was quoted by the journalist who asked Maxwell that question regarding Indian batsmen's approach in the Melbourne and Canberra ODIs.
I very clearly remember reading a headline in Times of India saying "Sub-continent players are selfish: Hayden". This was over 11 years ago, and now it has come back in 2016!!!

I would like to ask mathew hayden, what he has done against zimbawe..Australia were set to win the test anyway...But he batted to defeat Lara's highest test score. Is it not selfishness on part of hayden & australian tem? He doesn't have right to say that.

I agree that subcontinent player are selfish and at the same time they are not big hearted like the aussies and the Kiwis, they panic under pressure and also do not react to the situation in an apt manner
