Inclusion of Dinesh Karthik

Even before the team was selected they were absolutely sure that Dravid is going to keep wickets then why the hell did they took karthik to holland they could have taken a batsman as a back-up for kaif.

Dravid's Role

Actually Dravid is our Part Time Keeper, we can't depend on him for long Period. We have to find out somebody Specialist as keeper. Dinesh Kartik is good option. we have to experienment something, rather than to play with same squad.

Dravid's twin role

I don't know why such a discrimination in the Indian cricket side becos Mr. Rahul Dravid has made his displeasure known to everybody via media that he is not too keen & happy to keep the wickets & do the batting. The dual role up is not up to his liking but our great captain Mr. Saurav Ganguly insists that he needs a extra batsman & so naturally Dravid has to keep the wickets as a Wicket keeper. If such is the situation then Ganguly has to learn the art of wicket keeping & do it himself rather than forcing it on Dravid who is not at all keen. If Mr. Tendulkar shows his displeasure to bat down the order & wants to open the innings & that can be fulfilled by the management then why not Dravid eventhough he has shown the displeasure several times then "why this discrimination"?. Is the BCCI, Team management, Coach, Captain & also the media is listening or not.

I am not at all convinced what my friends Vikrant & Yusuf have said. Dravid's role in the team is that of a all rounder. Unless and untill the team finds a genuine all rounder he has to keep. The theory of keeping 7 batters in the team came handy earlier, e.g. the Natwest Final, 1st match of the last ICC Cup and more recently the 4th match of the India-Pak series & many more which needs no mention. At that time no one raised any question. As far as Saurav is concerned he is the greatest captain of India ever. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT. The record reveals that. We know that many people in India does not feel comfortable because Ganguly is the captain. For them we can't help. Goodbye.

I absolutely agree to what Vikrant has to say. When team uses a specialist keeper and things go right then it is termed as a perfect team, but when Indians lose, keeping becomes a hot toic.Accomodating another player won't make much difference.Dravid will be struggling with his bat due to dual pressure. So,give or take, but its no real gain. And how could you expect one extra batsmen to make all the difference when the specialist batsmen are out.
Dravid must sure be mourning the day he accepted the option to wear the gloves when the keeper got injured during the play.Time and again,Dravid has showed his reluctance to keep.Looks like someone is being utterly biased, guess who?
