Cricket is over-promoted in India,whereas other sports are not so.Seeing the performance by Indian athletes,BCCI should come forward and share its revenue like say 20% with other sporting bodies.
It is difficult to understand how the bid from Zee Telefilms was accepted when they don't satisfy the basic conditions. Neither they have the proper infrastructure, nor they have any prior experience of telecasting live matches. That is the reason they are throwing the bait of having a joint venture with Prasar Bharati. For the betterment of viewers, ESPN-STAR should be given thr rights, as they have an excellent infrastructure and a very good set of commentators. For the benefit of those viwers who don't have cable TV, Doordarshan may be allowed to telecast the matches in India.
