It is all fine for Saheb Singh Verma and Arun Jaitley to play 'God Fathers' for Shewag. What they could have done is requested for more police protection at the Air Port instead of "Hijacking" the son thus depriving the parents and brother from receiving him at the airport.
Could you stop writing about personal life of any players? Is it important to write about Sehwag's mother prepared such and such food items and they became cold- Rediff.com must sense that people spend money to read news from your site. When you write news columns always keep in mind that people visit your site looking for really good news from India, not just to learn about a particular person went to bathroom or he or she ate rotti. Have ever compared your site with other famous sites? Don't be so ridiculous. Be informative and concise.
What do you expect from Delhi politicians if he reallly whisked him off, Where was Shewags sense of responsibility by ignoring his parents and fans. The BJP is going out of their way to woo him, alls fair in love , war and politics it seems.Cricketers should play for the country and politics should come later. Good luck Shewag, lets hope success hasnt gone to any bodys head as the report says!
Involving politics into the game is not a good sign for Indian Cricket. BCCI should crack into such affairs. Any players who have are active in the sports should not be allowed to have active politics. If such things are allowed, we will end up being like Pakistan team were we will have the talent but no discipline.
If this is allowed, then days are near when BCCI will have to get permission from the PMO or BJP/Congress President to drop a player for his poor performance.
Please stop publishing ridiculous commnets made by fans who were waiting for Sehwag and were allegedly removed from the premises by his family. It is obvious than anyone would do the same. No one would allow strangers on the premises though they might be fans. Similarly journalists cannot lay a siege to someone's home and expect that they will be given a free access. We Indians are too intrusive and fail to realise that it is not an acceptable behavior in most parts of the world. A home is a private place and I do not see anything wrong in what Sehwag's family did. By printing comments made by disappointed fans, you are almost portraying Sehwag's family in a bad light and worngly so.
Ok that is one more ridiculous reporter for Rediff. He says the media packed up in disgust. Does he care to mention that the family was getting disgusted by the most pathetic invasion of their privacy by the most senseless journalists? When Kalpana Chawla died these very same journalists started hounding her family instead of letting them grieve in peace. These journalists seem to follow no goddamn ethics in their hunt for newsbites.
