Ramiz's comments

I think Ramiz's comments are fair. He is obviously sad at his team having lost, and there is nothing wrong with that. It would have been the same way for us if we had lost. Personally, I am impressed at the hospitality shown to the team by the Pakistanis. Come on guys, let us be graceful in victory at least.

Shoaib the great.
by Tushar on Apr 17, 2004 02:39 PM

I do not agree at all with Rameez in his comment over Shoiab's committment as he is a great bowler whom i have always seen bowling with more than 100% of his capability. His passion towards the game is undoubtedly the best to watch. Though he didn't perform to his potential in this series at all, but this all can happen in the cricketing career of any great player and same thing happened with Shoiab. He is a capable bowler who is always hungry for wickets and so he will definately answer his critics with stunning performances. I will be really disappointed if he is sacked owing to this dismal show like the way it happened with the greats of Wasim and Waqar.

Saji Krishnan
Rameez opinion
by Saji Krishnan on Apr 17, 2004 11:46 AM

Hai,
Responding to the comments by Rameez, Pakistan were outplayed in every department in the whole tournament, had we not elected to bat first in the second test we would have won that too, regarding shoaib he is a controversial figure in cricket but a crowd puller to the max. his commitment should not be questioned just because he has some problem with the authorities, had he not got sachin and laxman out , pakistan would have been nearly slaughterde in the final game.As a cricket fan i believe shoaib should be treated with care and respect without compromising the pakistan team's interest. The way he bowls takes a good toll on him , so please stop whinning if your "team" has lost, and stop blaming Shoaib.

Referece your feature by Ramiz Raza. There are times and opportunities in each game and none of the game is a final! there are succeding games and players and each at their moment are showing brilliance and heights of achievements and there shall be no conclusive judgement on players abilities as the players are also 'human' afterall and there are patches in performances. Games shall be treated as great humanizing spirit and those who play are all ultimately trying to extend the limitations of their self by surpassing their own endurance limits and touching new height every time they indulge in a play. Whether one wins or not, the spirit with which they all contribute to an endeavour in human excellence shall be louded for all those wo participate, the victors as well as vanquished as all are in the same higfher pursuite of finding excellence into their physical as well as spiritual wellbeing! The spectatprs shall not judge the individuals and never in the least submit to character assanissation of the players. That diminishes the human spirit and that is the last thing which can provide encouragement to future players! The teams played. The 'luckier' one won.

If we look at the both teams, currently Indian team is better side than pakistan, as Indian Batting side is more determinant than pakistn although they have Inzi and Yohana the compitant players. However Bowling side is big question mark i think pakistan is better than India. But both asian neighbiurs lack the good spin combination , the matter is very serious.

Proud Pakistani

Jai Pakistan. Long Live Pakistan. Pakistanis are tigers. They are lion hearted. Pakistanis have defeated Indians so many times even in India. Pakistani records is a clear depiction of what they are upto and what meager impact India has on them. Look at the one day record and the Test Match Record. It was the first ever. Ever Victory, by India and the only one ever. Pakistan would come back and they are coming to India and this time India is going to suffer and suffer hard. Mr. As we did in 1999, we would give India some real pain. The series whether one dayers or test matches was lost due to Umpires. Shepherd is a pro Indian Umpire and we saw enough of it during the series.

Pakistan Zindabad.
Proud to be a Pakistani
