I hope Lara has made clear who is World's No 1 batsmen. He is the best best because he plays for a not-so-best team but still produces wonderful scores notlike batsmen who have the privilege of being in the company of world's top batsmen.
It is a nice compilation of statistics, but one piece i would like to see is the age and number of tests played by these "triple centurions" at the time they scored these runs!!
I think Veeru at 25 yrs and 22 tests would figure quite prominantly there.
In the last box, Most runs in a days play. Sehwag's run is posted wrong. He has made 228 on the first day but he got out in the second day with a score of 309. So it should be written as (0 - 228*) and then Sehwag(309) but is posted wrong.
It is really a great achievement from lara to become the first man to score 400 runs in 125 years of test cricket.but it cannot earn him the tag of best ever.he has a good average but if u cosider the deviation of his scores from the mean it will be a bit on the higher side which suggests he doesnt get enough starts compared to other batsman
