Lara's trip to the second triple
by ramesh venkat krishnan on Apr 12, 2004 04:33 PM

Lara was unbelievably consistent in the last year or so. Lara's triple ton was simply marvelous, blazing away with amazing imperious shots all around the ground. My hearty congratulations....

Lara's triple ton
by mkbajaj on Apr 12, 2004 04:09 PM

That is realy great. The west indies skipper deserves accolades for scoring a triple ton against the english. The great Don i.e. Donald Bradman scored his triple tons well before most of the present genaration was even born. People of my generation were not very small kids when that happened and now it is great to see it happening on the telly. This will to some extent restore the westindian pride that has been badly dented due to their miserable performance in the current series against the pommies. And finally, here is wishing him good luck in overtaking Hayden's record.Best of luck, Lara. You deserve all this and more.

One of the most exciting and accomplished batsman the world has ever produced. By scoring this triple hundred,he has once again proved that he is the best in the world in terms of sheer class and playing under pressue.Over the years,he alone is sphereheading the batting attack of West Indies. If he had support of other batsmen like Tendulkar has in case of India, I am sure he would have made many more records and proved once and for all that he is the best batsman in the world.
Hope this great player achieves many more successes in his career.

Great effort

I am so happy that Lara again crossing the 300 run landmark as a Lara's fan. This innings comes under the huge pressure as a player and as a captain. It is very difficult to play such an innings under these circumstances when the team is in the verge of whitewash. I wish him to regain the record from Mathew Hayden.
