well done waqar
by pradeep on Apr 16, 2004 10:26 AM

It was really great to see ur bowling action and ur reverse swing which has troubled batsman of all times.
You won't believe even in one physics Colloquium titled
"why does the ball swing?" your reverse swing was discussed by the speaker.
i hope you will give this valuable asset to anyone who
comes to you and asks for this dikhsha.

Waqar is a legend
by Jesh on Apr 15, 2004 02:37 AM

Waqar Younis is truly a legend!! His reverse swing was the most dangerous delivery in the world. I don't think anybody could reverse swing the ball as much as Waqar used to do. I am very sad that he is retiring because after all he's just 32 years. He could have made a comeback & could have played for another 5 years or so. WAQAR YOUNIS WE MISS YOU & YOUR REVERSE SWING!! All the best in the future!!

Waqar- the great
by Ashok on Apr 14, 2004 01:09 PM

Its really painful for me hearing that waqar is away from world cricket.
We can seldom see cricketers like him in cricket. It was the great moment for pak team when they had wasim ,waqar and Imran.
But now there is a big hole in the bowling department and its visible there is a lack of experience in pak team..

Lara, the great for ever. waht to say....

Worst Pakistani Politics
by chandra sekhar on Apr 14, 2004 03:27 AM

The Cricket Board of Pakistan should stoip playing politics with the best cricket players which they have around. Already they have lost Wasim, Wakar, Syed Anwar of no reason and they may loose some more. Also Cricket should not be a Political game for Pakistan for their upliftment and upgradation in general issues. Hope this will happen only when complete democracy is restored in Pakistan. When will that happen? Every one should wait and see. Hope the best happens to the Pakistani Cricket.

Best of luck to Waqar
by Vishal Gupta on Apr 13, 2004 07:48 PM

If u ask me how i feel on the retirement of Waqar, Iwould say it brought tears. He was without any doubt my favourite cricketer. It was wonderful to watch him charging at the batsmen and his aggressiveness, and the thing which i liked most in his bowling was his action, it was simply delight to watch. I'm a die-hard fan of Waqar. Anyhow every good thing has to end.
I wish him all the best for his future and hope that he will keep serving cricket.

Great show Waqar Bhai !!!!
by Sathish Krishnan on Apr 13, 2004 03:54 PM

I am sure I am one of the countless Indian fans who appreciated and worshipped everytime Waqar bowled his toe-crushers at batsmen of the world and making then dance!!!

Together with Akram, he is one of the best fast bowlers I have seen in my life.

His swinging action, lethal pace and his control both with the ball and his temperament will always remain in our minds!

Waqae bhai, you made us (both Indians and Pakis) proud with your show!

Good bye and good luck to a truely great fast bowler!

mixed day for cricket
by abdul haseeb on Apr 13, 2004 02:14 PM

yesterday was a mixed day for cricket as Lara went on to pile 400* and Waqar retired from cricket, it is indeed an immense loss for cricket as now the toe crushers would not be seen that often as he delivered them. He really was a master of pace and swing and we would really miss him. All the best to him and his family.
