He was surely one of the best batsman cricket had produced. He was always a fighter and i think so that he and azhar were made the scapegoats of match fixing
I always liked Salim Malik and his play. I don't know why this mathc fixing issue is corrupting such a great play that is cricket. Anyway, Salim Malik, I liked your play always and your cool attitude was adorable.
I totally agree with Salim malik that he and Azhar were made scapegoats. I do wonder how these media people and those sitting on the boards of respective teams can think that a man or two can decide the result when there is abundance of talent in players like Dravid, Ganguly, Sachin Each of them had the ability to turn a losing match into a victory. If Azhar was blamed and punished for fixing a match then Those three players also to be treated the sameway.
i dunno whether salims innocent or not but there is truth in his statements.for instance the current pak teams inconsistent n useless.also inzy as he puts in is "not positive and aggressive"which are so much desired for a captain.he lacks optimism.readin salims interview on net,in papers,d resentment in his voice,d anger,d straight forwardness is enough 2 convince me of his innocence.other cricketers who have been penalised for match fixing alegations lack the fiery anger, which is enough to proove their dishonesty
These guys - Azhar and Salim - deserve to be respected for what they did for their respective countries. It has been nearly 5 years and the authorities have not been able to establish their guilt! Humiliating them without conclusively establishing their involvement in match fixing is the worst form of justice and in civilised societies that is not the done thing. I am for removing the life ban and leaving the rest to the historians of the game.
