There is no doubt that Murali chucks the ball. But why Austrailians are behind him is that they don't want anyone else to make records. The only threat to Aussies during Sri Lankan tour was Murali, that's why they are making so hue and cry.

Murali is a part of international cricket for more than a decade now. If he has cleared all the doubts previously, why this controversy is being raised onece again.

Why do Aussies allegate other persons, when there are allegations on themselves. Have they done anything for Brett Lee or they have stopped slegging.

Steve Waugh and the Art of Politics in Cricket

I am not commenting on Muralitharan's actions but on the merits of Steve Waugh supporting him. I dont know if readers have been noting his gradually easing stance on Asian cricketing countries - when he lavishly praised India during their recent tour, and now the support for Murali. I am trying to be cynical here but I am wondering if others see something cooking: Is Steve Waugh looking for a post retirement life with one of the rich Asian countries? Is he playing to the galleries here when he is being so generous?
