sri this is too much

Srinath,
I find your articles too boring and I feel that it is stating the obvious. In other words you seem to copy articles and paste it in your columns. Please post something interesting and for a change stop biasing the bowlers.

Keep the momentum going.
by Padmanabhan on Apr 06, 2004 10:13 PM

I am sending this at the end of 2nd day of Lahore Test.Indians have already lost the momentum gained thus far.I srongly feel that some misunderstanding exists in the Tendulkar camp over Rahul's declaration in the first test.If Tenulkar is even half of the greatest batsman as many/media claim
then he should rescue India out of the present tight corner situation. There is no use in creating batting records alone
Come on Sachin .Nobody will declare in the seccond innings .Take all the time in the world ,occupy the crease & see India is saved,if not achieve a win.Padmanabhan

Dravid's decision
by Dinesh Bansal on Apr 06, 2004 09:05 PM

Dravid's decision to bat first although can be debated as a brave decision, but in reality it was a stupid decision. A team should be prepared to bat on the last day and exploit good bowling conditions on the first day. I would say Dravid was trying to play too safe and in the end paid a huge penalty. I hope he learns from his experience, as he is relatively inexperienced in captaining.

Good luck to Indian team.
Dinesh

100% winners
by sipcrc on Apr 06, 2004 01:32 PM

The only thing that is important is that the team play to win and give 100% to the game. Win (or) loose is secondary. Strangely (or) maybe not so strangely this attitude will ensure momentum

srinath is correct
by vedula on Apr 06, 2004 12:55 PM

I do agree with srinath that our team should not forget the past experiances. After having won the first test match, again we are in the trouble. Thanks to Yuv and Irfan. Good luck for the team

Srinath's Column
by SUBHOJYOTI LAHIRI on Apr 06, 2004 12:32 PM

Though ..I was really a fan of Mr Srinath when he was bowling for India ..but I believe he should not have ventured into writing ..His writing shows whatever Dravid does is impaccable ..without any mistake ..infact..who ever is from Southern part of India , he is going to support blatantly ! Another example why we are so many counties within India ..so parochial !

Unless we get rid of this zonal bias , we cannot bring ourselves as a strong country ..dravid's decision was foolish ..he is trying to prove himself ..that he is different ..he is the best when he is second ..atleast till now!

It is useless to read Mr Srinath's comments .. we already know what he is going to write .Let me tell you , very few people read those biased comments !

Congrats India
by Jennifer Kimani on Apr 06, 2004 11:04 AM

I'm a Kenyan. I'm so happy for India i have been following the way the team plays through the internet since we don't watch much of cricket here.

I'm so glad that finally the players are not all emotional like they used to be! I think thats why i enjoy reading about you guys now. Go India and i miss watching the games so much!!

I hope the team won't relax now that they've won we want to see them beat Austaralia. And i hope Ganguly now keeps cool when his team losses or doesn't seem to play well. The captain should always encourage the players. I'll keep praying for the team.

Regards,

Jennifer

Yes srinath is right.Every time our team lost after won the first test. This time too it is going to happen. We should learn more from Australia , how they overcome srilanka in their home soil.
