hell with umpires
by Satish Huddar on Apr 08, 2004 02:33 PM

Whay should be there a rule to fine the umpires and the umpires who are key players to maintain the dignity of game rather they r spoiling the game..Eve the lbws should be referred to the third umpire...it is too much from these two umpire especially Bulkner....

How about fining the umpires ?
by Siddharth on Apr 07, 2004 09:03 AM

Is it just me or you guys have also noticed that the Indian players seem to attract a lot of fine !

Just because our cricket board is rich, the ICC chooses to fine our players ??

The match refree should take the point into consideration that the batsmen was really out and the player was justified in expressing his disappointment.

The player was not trying to pressurize the UMP...

Let's not talk about Bucknor, he has become Senile.

First fine 120% of the Match fees to 14th Man of Pak team (ICC Match refere)and fine 100% of Match fee to both the 12th and the 13th Man of Pakistan team(Steve Bucknor and Simon Taufel). If they cannot do their job ask them to please stop NEGATIVE ATTITUDE against INDIANS and spare baby faced Parthiv, He is always a sape goat.

Don't worry Parthiv.

Is there any rule to fine an empire whenever he gives a wrong decision, if it is there then put the fine and then the fine of Parthiv will be justified. Otherwise it is not good for the Cricket .

Injustice with Parthiv!
by Harshad Deshmukh on Apr 06, 2004 11:05 PM

Shocked to read the decision abt Parthiv. The job of wicket keeper is to catch the ball he gets & make appeal wherever required. It is very sad abt the 2 great umpires tht firstky they are not making their job correctly & more over they are complaining abt parthiv's appeal which is 100% true & genuine. It is very obvious tht the player will display his disgust if the decision is going against him. Totally Wrong!!!!!!!

I think the empire Steve Buckner is just taking out his frustrations against the team as Ganguly said to media that he was not satisfied by his decision during the Australia Tour. He is becoming the controversial empire. I don't understand what is his problem till toady there was no controversy but as Steve Bucknor came into picture the controversies are arising . He must understand that it is not an ordinary cricket match but the matches are going to influence the indo-pak relations a lot. The decision given by the empires were not correct, if correct decision would have given the picture of match would have been different. As for as Parthiv is concerned definetely the Wicket- Keeper is the one who must appeal whenever there is doubt and when people seeing on television can see clearly that batsman is out I don't understand how the empires standing on the field could not and definetely the Wicket Keeper will be disappointed in such situation because one decision can turn the match. Thus I find that Parthiv was correct and he must appeal as he is the key person the cheer the team.

Bucknor's Umpiring!
by aman malhotra on Apr 06, 2004 10:30 PM

Well i think it was wrong on the part of parthiv to show displeasure...but on the other hand i think bucknor is degrading his reputation as one of the best umpires.Clearly "the best" umpires dont commit such mistakes....and that too not once but again and again.Another ironic thing i found with bucknor's umpiring is that he takes so long to give his decisions that the bowlers and fielders just dont know for how long to keep the appeal going. He himself takes too long to give his decisions and then when someone exaggerates by appealing more...what does that player get...an official warning.....huh cant figure that out Mr.Bucknor!

umpire's behaviour
by sudeep on Apr 06, 2004 10:15 PM

what are the international umpires doing?
are they drunk?
what are their decisions? senseless
there should be a committee to govern the decisions of umpire...
if they are consistanly failing they should be dropped or atleast given a break.
